Compact air handling unit MANDÍK

The new fully dynamic line of compact air-handling units is intended to be used for central distribution and air conditioning both in the commercial and industrial domain. Thanks to new advanced software and clever design, it is now possible to design the units dynamically. It allows for production of unique designs for both standard and atypical units according to requirements of a particular customer while taking into account any dimensional limitations. Customers may choose from a wide range of internal components and their combinations. The units are fully manufactured and certified as a unique frame-less design and are intended for indoor application. The unit is designed vertically (the outputs to the top).

Besides many other configuration options, the following options are a standard: the units are fitted with a recuperation counter-flow plate heat exchanger; customers may choose from up to two exchangers to be used for heating or cooling; they may further choose any fans, including the option of installing the fan wall; they may choose the mixing/circulation function of the exhaust air and the rectangular or circle outputs; also, customers may configure whether the switchboard will be an internally built-in switchboard or an external one.

The air output of the units may range from 500 to 10,000 m3/hour; as a standard, they are supplied as a plug&play solution, i.e., including the integrated MaR system.

CHARACTERISTICS

As regards the energy balance:
  • Air output from 500 to 10,000 m3/h.
  • The possibility of the dynamic design with the resulting dimensions being added by the steps of 1 mm to achieve any possible air output value.
  • The possibility to choose from two types of casing (T3 TB2 / T2 TB1) based on the thermal transmittance classes and thermal bridges for the entire range of the air output values.
  • For the T2 TB1 casing, any thermal transmittance is eliminated and the thermal bridges comply with the EN 1886 standard.
  • Thermally separated air flows inside the unit.
  • The units meet the ECODESIGN requirements in accordance with Regulation EU 1253/2014 and ErP 2018 Directive.
  • The recuperation counter-flow plate heat exchanger can be chosen to precisely meet the customer’s requirements for the minimum efficiency and pressure loss.
  • Continuous control of the heat recovery output.
  • Continuous anti-freezing protection of the recuperation heat exchanger.
  • The free-cooling function option.
  • The possibility of mixing the fresh air with the exhaust air to achieve the optimum thermal output.
  • Only EC fans offering the big reserve regarding the required external pressure to the duct have been applied.
 
As regards the design:
  • The unit is designed vertically (the outlets point upwards).
  • Compact size based on the dynamic design.
  • The possibility to fit the unit with up to two exchangers (1 for heating and 1 for cooling).
  • The customer may choose from a wide range of various types of internal components.
  • Thanks to the unique certified frame-less design of the housing, the internal surfaces are smooth (without any internal supports, sharp edges, corners, etc.) as a standard and without the need to perform any additional installation modifications (such as joint sealing).
  • The unit is fitted with the base frame.
  • The units are intended for indoor applications.
  • The units are the Plug&Play devices: the units are fully equipped with the MaR system and tested.
  • The customers may, in terms of the surface finish, choose from the zinc coating, stainless steel or painted sheets, individually for external and internal parts of the casing, built-in sections, end elements and the base frame.
  • In the case of powder coating, it is possible to choose from any RAL shade.
 
As regards the operation of the units:
  • Two options as regards the access to the unit may be selected: the standard variant with the necessity to provide for both the front and side access and the front-only variant without the necessity to provide for access from the side (thus, it is possible to surround the unit with walls from 3 sides).
  • Clever and user-friendly controls of the units
    (web interface, visualization function, …)
  • The possibility to connect the unit to the MaR system or set the parameters using a PC, tablet, smartphone or the controller display.
  • The possibility to use over-pressure caps for the safe service and maintenance.
  • Emphasis on easy maintenance and service of all parts of the unit.
  • A special extension mechanism for fans to provide for easy access to the terminal blocks.
 

EQUIPMENT OF THE UNITS

Supply part:
  • An air filter (F7 class as a standard);
  • A damper for entering the fresh air in;
  • The bypass damper of the recuperation heat exchanger;
  • The recuperation counter-flow plate heat exchanger;
  • Possibility to fit up to 2 heat exchangers (1 for heating and 1 for cooling purposes);
  • The fan powered with the EC electric motors;
  • Flexible connection on the inlet and outlet.
 
Exhaust part:
  • An air filter (M5 class as a standard);
  • The possibility of installing the mixing damper on the recuperation exchanger for mixing the fresh and exhaust air;
  • The fan powered with the EC electric motors;
  • The damper placed on the exhaust air outlet;
  • Flexible connection on the inlet and outlet.
 
Optional types of internal components of the unit:
  • Filters: you may choose from G3 to F9 filtration classes;
  • Filters: you may choose the frame type (MPP) 46/98 mm / compact (plastic) / pocket 360/500/600 mm filters;
  • Filters: you may choose the Euro / Unifil / atypical dimensions composition (by the steps of 10 mm);
  • Heater: you may choose the electrical / water / condensator;
  • Cooler: choose from the water / direct evaporators;
  • Fans: you may choose from radial fans with various impeller sizes, all of them equipped with EC electric motors only. It is possible to choose the fan wall of 2 pcs of fans situated one behind the other;
  • The recuperation heat exchanger: you may choose either the standard variant or the “combi” variant and from two types offering the high efficiency or the efficiency that is even higher than that. The specific minimum efficiency value may be required;
  • Closing dampers: the dampers may be installed internally or externally;
  • Actuators of the closing dampers on the inlet and outlet: you may choose from the standard actuator or the safety one equipped with the spring;
  • Air exhaust dampers: you may choose between the rectangular or circle outputs;
  • Connections: the connections for the exchangers’ media are positioned on the front whereas the electrical connection and other connections are situated on the front or on the side, as required by the customer;
  • The electrical switchboard of the MaR system may be an internal or external type switchboard. The internal switchboard is accessible from the front or from the side, as required by the customer.
